Now that 2022 is gone, I thought it would be good to do a recap of the year. I am so pleased to see the back of that year, I'm sure you will see why in this post. 2022 had to be the worst year I have gone, but I made it and can already tell that 2023 is going to be a lot better.
January
In January I decided to change my car from a Renault Clio to something more practical, I applied to get a Vauxhall Mokka and got accepted for it. On the day my finance was accepted I was contacted to say I had been offered a flat of my own, finally.
February
I got my Mokka on the 1st of February. I also started getting bits for my flat, a trip to Ikea, and many other places to start building the collection of house stuff.
March
I got the keys to my flat at the start of March, right at the end of my 2 weeks off, typical. I then started to move my things in, before moving in fully at the end of the month.
April
April was a pretty rough month for me. I went through a bad patch with my mental health, I also had a bit of a hard time at work which involved a trip to the hospital. I picked up my cat Bailey in April though so he made my life that little bit brighter.
May
In May I traveled to Liverpool and had the best day doing lots of the free things you can do ( post on this coming soon ). I also went to Whitby for the day, climbing the 199 steps and doing some sightseeing.
June
June was when the year started to take a bad turn. I lost my uncle at the start of the month, this was horrible to go through due to the circumstances of how we lost him, something I have been through previously and not something anyone should have to go through once, never mind twice. During the time this was happening I went to Blackpool for the night with my friend and her baby. It was good to get away for the night. I started back at a shop I used to work in part-time alongside my full-time job. I got covid again for the second time too, which completely wiped me out.
July
In July I did a bit of traveling. I visited Diddly Squat Farm down in Chipping Norton, this was not worth the drive down at all and not something I would plan to go to again, we also stopped off at Birmingham on the way home from here. I also went to Skegness for the day, it was roasting hot and I got sunburnt from sitting on the pier. Skegness is a place that holds a place in my heart and love going there, even just for the day.
August
I went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach with my work for the day. I also booked a holiday to Alcudia with my boyfriend, friend, and her baby for April of this year.
September
September started off as a rubbish month as I got a phone call to tell me my grandad had passed away suddenly. The whole of the month was a weird time, especially in England with losing the queen. I also turned 26 towards the end of the month and went to Cornwall the day after my birthday. I am going to do a full post about my trip to Cornwall next week.
October
October was the month we finally got to lay my grandad to rest, over a month after losing him. I also spent a lot of time in Blackpool this month, I went to watch the firework championship and got soaked in the rain. I then went back for 2 nights with my work and visited a variety of tourist attractions. A week after this I went back to Blackpool for another night with work again. My car also decided to break on me leaving me stuck on the A66 in the rain.
November
I had a week off work in November and spent some much-needed time with friends and family. I took my friend's little girl to Lakes Aquarium at Ulverston, and it was great. I also put up my Christmas tree on bonfire night, might have been a bit too early, but I needed some festive spirit. I also had a move at work to a different location working between 2 places instead of 1. The move has helped me so much with my job and I am loving the change.
December
December was a month of making decisions. I made the decision to hand back my Mokka as it was broken and just not very fuel efficient for what I need. I also decided to give up my flat in the New Year to help save money to do more things for myself and to travel, I am moving into my boyfriend's mum's with him at some point in the new year. I also restarted the business that I set up last year selling personalised items. I also decided to start blogging again and set up Zaffiro Vita ready to start posting.
And there we go, a recap on 2022. I can't wait to see what happens in 2023, I am so ready for it.
Thanks for reading
